The Question that Defines My Achievement
There's one question I ask myself as often as possible to make sure I don't fade away to mediocrity or fall victim to complacency. It's a question that keeps me on track. Focused. Striving to achieve more. I ask it to myself twice a week and I even set calendar reminders to make sure I never skip a beat. The question is: What have I done to make myself better?
The answer to that question depends on what I'm working on. If it's to publish my book, Scared Speechless, my answer will consist of things like "I finalized editing chapters 1-12, will finish the rest by next week" and "I locked down a meeting with a book marketer to discuss ideas." If my goal is to get in shape, my answers will reveal how I pushed myself harder than ever those few days.
If the answer is "nothing," I know that I shouldn't expect success in whatever I'm working towards.
